The Results of PISA 2009
In 2009 PISA focused on reading literacy and thereby marked the start of a new PISA round. In
PISA 2009 the main focus was also on reading literacy.
A new assessment of reading literacy allows reliable and extensive monitoring analyses. PISA
2009 also examined mathematical and scientific literacy, but with a smaller set of indicators.
