Creative economy and culture at the heart of innovation policy

According to Research professor Antti Hautamäki there is not enough sufficiently profound and comprehensive understanding of the essential nature of the creative economy and culture in Finland. This is why stronger input is needed to study these questions. Another challenge is to boost cooperation across administrative boundaries. Especially innovation policy should be seen as a strategic issue for the government, which spans all the administrative sectors.   Read more >

For adult education – creatively

This year, the theme of the Adult Learners’ Week is creativity and innovation. The purpose of the week is to disseminate information, and to motivate, inspire, activate and challenge people to co-operate. The Adult Learners’ Week is a UNESCO initiative and it is celebrated in over 50 countries. In Finland the week has been celebrated since 1998.

Creative, Playing Child programme in day-care services

The Creative, Playing Child Programme 2007-2009 of the City of Tampere day-care services has supported children’s play, creativity and innovation in the everyday reality of day care while developing children’s future skills. During the Programme, play and creativity have been put under the spotlight and day-care education, workshops and events have concentrated on them through a variety of themes. 2009 is the European Year of Creativity and Innovation, which has the objective of highlighting the importance of creativity and innovation and the opportunities presented by them.
