Content:
Digitisation of cultural heritage is being promoted at a conference and at a meeting of the National Representatives Group (NRG). The Dynamic Action Plan for digitisation was published in late 2005. The current priorities of NRG activities include activation of measures included in the plan at EU level and implementation of the specified objectives within the Member States and organisations. The Finnish conference ' Why Digitise? Who Benefits? Impact Assessment of Digital Cultural Heritage Content and Services' will concentrate in particular on assessment of the cultural, social and economic impact of digitisation and address challenges and opportunities set by the i2010: Digital Libraries Initiative on cultural heritage.
