The Minister of Culture and Sport  is responsible for matters relating to culture, sports, youth, copyright, student financial aid, and church affairs.

He is also  responsible for equality matters which belong to the remit of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.

A State Secretary assists the minister in matter relating to political steering and preparatory work.
